Peck Electric has been a family-owned electrical contractor based in Vermont for over 40 years. Over the years, we have built our expertise in control wiring and logic controllers as well as high voltage power distribution and lighting. In the 1980s, IBM chose Peck Electric to wire their new manufacturing facilities, and we have continued to serve IBM/Global Foundries as well as other large companies ever since. We are proud of the unparalleled technical expertise and long-term business partnerships we have forged after decades of doing business in Vermont.
While growing our customer base and continuing to serve the needs of our existing commercial customers, our solar and data departments have tripled in size since 2007. Our unionized crews are responsible for installing some of Vermont’s largest and most impressive commercial solar arrays in Vermont (see the solar portfolio). We keep 4-6 crews of electricians employed full-time through our ongoing partnership with SunCommon, with whom we have installed thousands of rooftop PV systems since 2012. We recently partnered with the state’s largest utility, Green Mountain Power, to install the state’s first wave of electric car chargers and home energy storage systems. We are always ready for the next opportunity.
Peck Electric will continue to be one of Vermont’s leading electrical contractors as our state transitions to a “Smart Grid” over the coming decades. With the ever-increasing rate of technological progress, we will continue to adapt to the latest technology and business practices. We are already ahead of the curve, having installed electric car chargers at many state government and commercial facilities, and providing R&D technical consultation to equipment manufacturers as they develop the next generation of solar and energy storage technologies. As our fleet of installed solar arrays continues to grow, we are dedicated to providing excellent Operations and Maintenance services for the next 25 years and beyond!
